Markita Carter is our primary chair side dental assistant, and she is outstanding. She is originally from the Chicago area, where she had experience in the banking, retail and customer service industries. Markita wanted to use her experience in a more person-to-person way, and moved to Indianapolis to attend Kaplan College for dental assisting. She continued her education and became a Certified Dental Assistant. She has been with Dr. Phelps since 2008 and has mastered many dental assisting procedures and other skills including photography and dental software integration. Markita continues to learn, have fun and enjoy taking care of her patients. She and her fiancé, Xavier, have two daughters and enjoy spending quality family time together.
